Food

This isn't a literature related post but I thought I'd make a post about my day :) The past few weeks I have been going out quite a lot so I haven't really had a lot of time for myself but today I stayed at home! I cooked lunch for my family, which was some delicious spicy chicken in a wrap :3 Afterwards we had the most gorgeous strawberries, and they were only £1 too! The government seem to issue health warnings quite frequently about combating obesity and all that jazz but the predominant issue, in my opinion, isn't calorie consumption but the amount of money required to purchase fresh fruit. You can buy sweets and chocolates for under 30p which leads more people to turn to junk food for a quick, high sugar snack which is probably one of the causes for mass weight gain.

Later on I went to church with my family and then I decided to treat my family to a curry because it was my mum's birthday a couple of days ago and my dad has been working non-stop lately because of the Olympics. After that we watched the 400m relay and then tuned into the diving which was really tense and exciting! I feel incredibly happy for Tom Daley. He really deserved that bronze medal :) I'm so proud of Team GB and how wonderfully we've been doing! The Olympics make me feel lazy though. Whilst athletes as young as 16 years old are winning medals, I pull a muscle in my leg from sprinting for 10 seconds :') I've been reading a ton of books lately, so I will be writing another book review soon. I need to start my reading list for university soon, which excites me and scares me simultaneously.
